Bankside by Jasper Morrison is a micro edition of seats for the community, originally conceived for the prestigious Tate Gallery of Modern Art in London. The collection summarises functional features associated with public use, but their slender profile and high resistance to wear perfectly meet also the demands of domestic settings.

Designer
Jasper Morrison
Jasper Morrison is a leading British designer, best known for his work in furniture, lighting, electrical products and tableware. Born in London in 1959, he studied at Kingston Polytechnic, the Royal College of Art, and at Berlin’s HdK. In 1986 he opened his Office for Design in London, from which he designs furniture and products for many prestigious international companies.
He has had solo exhibitions in Tokyo at Axis Gallery, Yamagiwa and HH Style. In 2015 a retrospective exhibition entitled Thingness opened at the Grand-Hornu in Belgium, travelled in various countries, and was presented at Tate Modern. Among many other exhibitions, he presented Au Musée at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs Bordeaux and he curated Danish Design, I Like It at the Copenhagen Design Museum. Jasper Morrison is the author of several books published by Lars Müller, including the monographs Everything But The Walls and A Book of Things.
His pieces are in the collections of the world’s major design museums. He has been a Royal Designer for Industry since 2001.
